today we started to make an A2 poster of our typography vernaculars (in the end become a homework ;__;). first of all we we're asked to presented our presentation about the typographers.

well, steps of making the poster are:

1. trace the alphabet that you've printed on A3 paper

2. draw some sketches for your poster

3. decide the best sketch

4. Start to draw using pencil

5. Then using spidol

today we only have a qc for making a TIME magazine cover about ourself. First, we starting to make a mind map about "Me". Haha and sir Angga gave us a tips if we were confuse, start to ask ourself with a simple question, "what kind of food am I?" "what kind of colour am I?" like that. Me and Berta starting to search some quiz on the internet HAHA "personality quiz".

so I've a conclusion that I am a cheerful, happy, and fun person. so I will use bright colour.

then we starting to search an unusual things for our cover. so we will make our magazine's cover using unusual thing. I captured some inspirations from this book:

I like this, this one is so creative. From the unexpected thing can create a unique accesorise.

What i like about the designers works are they can use the opportunities well. They use the un-useful things become something more expensive and more valueable.

today sir Em asked us to choose one of the branch from our mind map. I choose "places to travel" and i made a new mind map about places to travel. here is it:

then sir Em asked us to think what title of the book that you want. But it have to related with the theme, "Me and My Dreams". So with a help from sir Em and my friend (Ezy, Damaz, and Berta), finally I have some ideas for my book:

Getting Closer to Typography

today I was late. hu hu. because of the traffic in Semanggi!!!!!

ms Uma asked us to search the definition of some typographies theory like ascender & descender, serif, sans serif, x height, typeface classifications, 3 basic type measurements, wordspacing, leading, type arrangement, and draw & define column, row, gutter, and margin.

we also have to presented our typography vernaculars to our friends using power point. from A-Z. then, we're asked to print them on A3 paper.

then we're having a research of some typefaces, such as Helvetica, Baskerville, and Garamond. after that we make some postcard sketches. next we decide 1 sketch from 5. then we make it on the tracing paper.

after that, ms uma was giving us a homework. it's about research and presentation on assigned typographers (5) from "Meggs' History of Graphic Design" book and search 3 of their works. submit it on ppt.

yay today we start to draw the fruits (+the towel...........)!! no more "the black and white picture" say hello to the colourrrsss!!! today we started to draw with crayon. this crayon is awesome!!!! but quiet expensive..... you can mix the colour with your hand (it feels like using charcoal).

1. i start to draw the fruits (+the towel............) with my point of view. draw with pencil first, but do not draw to thick!

2. start to colour it using the crayon! colour it from the brightest colour so i choose to colour the banana first then the melon, mango, avocado, apple, the jar, and..........the towel!!! the hardest part >___<

3. make the dark and the bright side

4. Tadaaa

and the homework is, you have to draw the same thing with the diffrent point of view and different colouring tools... (I used water colour) and tadaaa!
