Comping Workshop: Week 1

Thursday, 6 March 2014

At 9-11 a.m, we have a visitor!! They will having a workshop here until the end of March. The workshop is about screen printing process.

Class started with this. The teacher asked us to draw anything. And I was drawing cat :)

After that the teacher (helped by her assistant) shows us how to do a screen printing. Firstly you have to make the paint well-spread.

After that, prepare the image and place it on the light box. Give the oil above the paper

Place the canvas above the image then use something heavy above the canvas.

Next, place the canvas above the media that you want to use. Prepare the stuff.

Place the paint on the canvas, then start to spread it with the rubber,

Then I try to do screen printing :) :)

Things needed:

Spread the paint

Tada! Done ;-D

Don't forget to dry it up.

After that, we were asked to make group of three. Discuss and decide what figures that you want to make for this screen printing. Me, Marsha, and Deza decided to draw Princess Bubblegum :) this is mine:

We choose Marsha's drawing.
