After that sir em told me that i have to make the layout with the grid also. If you want to make a grid manually, choose light blue colour pencil for making the line because it's not too eye catching but we still can see it:

Comping Techniques (week 8, 9, 10)

Week 8: friday, august 30th 2013

Today Ms Ina asked us to make a diorama of jakarta. Ms ina said that this is trax fm's event. Trax fm wants uic design students to participate and make the diorama. The diorama must use Tetra Pak products.

Then each student have to make 2 ideas. Here's mine:

I want to make a comparison between Jakarta 1960s until 2013.

This one is the comparison between poor people and rich people in Jakarta.

Week 9: friday, september 6th 2013

Today ms ina choosed berta's sketch. It's about the comparison betweeen day&night in jakarta. We want to use lamps on the night part. So we made the new sketch:

We (me, berta, and damaz) also have a research about TetraPak. So we went to GrandLucky SCBD.

TetraPak has made a packaging for some milks

And also juices.

We bought some examples of TetraPak that has different shapes

 each other.

If you want to know which product that used TetraPak, just take a look to the bottom of the product and you will find the TetraPak logo.

In the afternoon (the 2nd session). We were asked to make a cd pocket.

Week 10: thursday, september 12th 2013

Today we starting to make the diorama. Honestly its quiet hard to buy and make the box empty because we need a lot of boxes. So today we only make the vehicle from 250ml boxes + the wheels that made from sponges.

Well. I have made the real size of the calendar plus the layout like this.

Today i have to show this to ms uma to know further what is the next step. Hehe wish me luckkkk ;-) 

Intro to Typo (week 8, 9, 10)

Week 8: tuesday, august 27th 2013

Today we showed ms uma our map of indonesia because we want to make a calendar about indonesia:

But she told us that we have to be more specific. What things in indonesia did we want to be our theme for the calendar. Is it the ethnicity? Or the architecture? Animal? Food? Music instrument? Etc. so we decided to choose ethnicity as the theme. Mine is Batak. Why i choose batak. Because I'm curious about Batak's philosophy. Why they can have a really good family relationship? And i was soooo interested of Kain Ulos!!! It's a beutiful fabric from batak. Batak also unique and has a characteristic in its ornemt, language, and many more. So i made a mind map about batak ;-)

Week 9: tueday, september 3rd 2013

Ms uma was absent today but i've shown her my layout sketches and some options of calendar shape.

Ms uma has chosen the good layouts and design that i have to explore (the check list one)

Week10: tuesday, september 10th 2013

At the first time, i want to make a wall calendar like this. I chose the ornament as the calendar shape because batak has a unique ornament. So i made the miniature.

But i think its not works well. Because it looks messy.

Sudennly a good idea (haha my opinion  :-p) appears in my head HA HA. I changed it into the desk calendar!!! Yay then i made the miniature

Hehe i made a calendar like this because Batak people has a strong family relationship so i made side by side. And i have asked ms uma and she likes my idea.
